The First Step

Welcome to my blog! Some of you may have gravitated here from my other blog, the Bringer of Nightmares and Storms, where I write speculative fiction and post up other randomness in nature.

Speaking of nature, if you’ve read some of my short stories, you’ll know that I often incorporate animals and plants that have agency and/or self-determination in them, and am passionate about anthologies that support environmental causes in general. 

So much so, I’m going back to school for a degree in professional science as a means to transition back into nonprofit work.

I firmly believe dedication and passion for causes such as the environment, wildlife, and for social justice issues are needed now more than ever, in light of the havoc that is being wreaked on the world by the (rich, corrupt, and greedy/exploitative) 1% at the present moment.

Let’s join forces in creating more sustainable, grassroots, “bottom-up” change in areas ranging from public education to science to the arts and, of course, to the environment and wildlife.
